Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Social Hype Technologies Pvt Ltd ("SocialHype", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and platform.
1. Information we collect
Account details you provide (such as name, email, organisation, and phone number), information you submit through forms (such as demo or contact requests), billing information processed by our payment provider, content you upload to your workspace, and usage and device data collected automatically.
2. Data sources
We collect information from several sources: (1) directly from you and your team when you sign up, configure your workspace, or contact us; (2) from connected platforms you authorise — including Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp Business — where, with your permission via OAuth, we receive profile, page, messaging, and performance data needed to provide the service; (3) from content you upload — posts, media, contacts, and templates; and (4) automatically, such as device, log, and usage data. We request only the platform permissions a feature needs and you can revoke access at any time.
3. How we use your information
To provide and improve the service, respond to enquiries, process payments, send service and (with your consent) marketing communications, deliver customer support, and keep the platform secure.
4. AI processing
Some features use AI providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate content, recommendations, and automation suggestions on your behalf. When you use these features, the relevant input is sent to the AI provider to produce the output. We use providers that do not train their foundation models on data submitted through their business APIs, and we do not use your private content to train our own models. See our Subprocessors page for the current list of AI providers.
5. Google user data and Limited Use
What we access
When you connect a Google account — YouTube, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, or Search Console — we access only what the features you switch on actually require. For YouTube that is: your channel list and the email address of the connected account, so we can identify which channel you linked; the videos and thumbnails you publish through SocialHype; the performance metrics behind your analytics reports; and the comments on your videos, so you can read, reply to and manage them from the Inbox. A comment carries the commenter's public display name, YouTube channel ID and profile image URL, which we store alongside the comment text so the conversation is readable in your Inbox. We store the profile image URL only — the image itself is served directly from Google to your browser and we never hold a copy of it. Where you delete a comment you authored, we delete it on YouTube on your instruction and remove it from your Inbox.
How we use it
We use this data solely to provide those features to you and your workspace — never for advertising, profiling, or credit decisions.
Who we share it with
We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties other than the subprocessors listed on our Subprocessors page, who process it on our instructions.
AI and machine learning
Where you explicitly invoke an AI feature — for example, generating a suggested reply to a comment — the relevant content is sent to our AI provider solely to produce that output for you, as described under AI processing above; it is never used to develop, improve, or train generalised AI or machine-learning models, whether ours or a third party's.
How we protect it
Google user data is encrypted in transit, and the access and refresh tokens for your connection are encrypted at rest, access-controlled, and protected as described under Security.
Your control
You can disconnect a Google account in SocialHype at any time, which deletes the stored access and refresh tokens for that connection, and you can additionally revoke our access from your Google Account permissions page at any time.
Retention and deletion
Disconnecting also stops any further sync. The comments and performance data already synced to your workspace remain available to you until you delete them, delete the workspace, or ask us to remove them at legal@socialshype.com. Deleting the workspace removes them automatically.
SocialHype's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. International data transfers
We operate on managed cloud infrastructure that may process or store data in more than one region. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as contractual data-protection terms with our providers and subprocessors — so your data remains protected to a comparable standard.
9. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by Indian law. Active account data is deleted within 90 days of account closure unless we must retain it for tax, billing, dispute-resolution, or other legal reasons; statutory records (such as GST invoices) are kept for the period the law requires. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our standard backup rotation. You can request deletion at any time — see our Data Deletion page.
10. Your rights under the DPDP Act
Subject to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, update, and request deletion of your personal data, and the right to nominate another person to exercise those rights in the event of your death or incapacity. To exercise these rights, email legal@socialshype.com.
11. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Rules, 2021, Social Hype Technologies Pvt Ltd has appointed the following Grievance Officer / Data Protection Officer to address your concerns: Sunil Yadav — Grievance Officer & Data Protection Officer. Email: admin@socialshype.com. Phone: +91 70284 35914. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days, in line with statutory requirements.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including TLS in transit, access controls, and least-privilege admin permissions — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. See our Security page for more.
13. Children
The service is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
