Data Deletion & Account Removal

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page explains how to make a request, what we delete, what we may need to keep, and how long it takes.

How to request deletion

Choose whichever method is easiest. We verify your identity before processing any request so that no one can delete your data but you.

Support email

Email support@socialshype.com from your registered address with the subject “Data deletion request.” We confirm receipt and verify your identity before processing.

Account settings

Signed-in users can delete their account from Settings → Account → Delete account, which schedules the workspace and its data for removal.

Written request

Post a signed written request to our Grievance Officer at the office address below. Useful where you cannot access your account.

What we delete & what we keep

Data we delete

  • Your account profile, login credentials, and workspace settings
  • Content you uploaded — posts, media, drafts, and templates
  • CRM records, contacts, conversations, and unified-inbox history
  • Connected-platform data we cached (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, WhatsApp), and the OAuth tokens for those connections
  • Analytics and reporting data tied to your workspace

Data we may retain

  • Invoices, billing records, and tax data we must keep under Indian law (e.g. GST records) for the statutory period
  • Records needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements
  • Aggregated or anonymised data that can no longer identify you
  • Limited backup copies, which expire on our normal encrypted-backup rotation

Deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days.

Deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days. Active data is removed promptly after we verify the request; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the standard backup rotation. We confirm completion in writing.

Connected platforms

When you connect an account from Meta, Google, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp, we store the OAuth access tokens and any data those APIs return that is needed to provide the service. Deleting your account removes those tokens and cached platform data. You can also revoke our access at any time from the connected platform’s own settings, and you may disconnect an individual integration inside your workspace without deleting your whole account.
